The Caribbean Red habanero is one of the spiciest varieties. It was originally planted on the Yucutan Peninsula in Mexico, but today it is also widely produced in the Caribbean and in North America. This type of pepper is roughly twice as spicily as an ordinary orange Habanero. The slightly wrinkled chilies resemble the Habanero in shape and are about an inch wide by 1.5 inches long. The chiles mature from a bright green to a lime green color.
The seeds are open pollinated garden.
