The Jamaican Hot Yellow is a little plant that only reaches a height of 60 cm. Peppers grow in great profusion on the plant. The 5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide pods resemble mushrooms and are comparable to Scotch Bonnet peppers. They turn from green to golden yellow as they ripen and are extremely hot. The Caribbean region uses the peppers frequently to make hot sauces because of their fruity flavor. The seeds are open pollinated garden.
